Based in Oxford, I’m a professional marketer with 13 years’ experience in marketing communications; seven of these spent working for a FTSE 100 international publishing business.
Having studied Marketing Management and Tourism at Oxford Brookes University, I went to work for the Vale of White Horse District Council in Economic Development and Tourism and returned to the University some years later as their Promotions Officer working with potential undergraduates. After a few years and having completed my CIM Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, I moved to Elsevier as a Marketing Communications Manager and progressed to Head of Marketing Communications with responsibility for 700 of their academic journals in the fields of life sciences and social sciences. I was also the project lead for 200 social media channels with over 300,000 followers.
